Welcome!

My Photo
I'm a truth-seeker. Depending on what sort of mood I'm in, I might also tell you I'm a writer, consultant, doula, herbalist, educator, or activist. Fact is I'm trying my best to juggle all of these "me(s)" with strength and humor, grace and dignity. This is where you can grab a front row seat, watch me drop balls, and curse.

Tis the Season

I can't believe it is already "that" time of year, but alas, it is. And by "that" I mean the time of year when just about every spare moment I have is spent blissfully crafting! I've been a busy little bee since November 10th and so far I've made ....

- Extracts
- Two hats
- Amiguimi: one manatee, one lion
- Wrist warmers
- Soap
- Face Wash

Right now I'm working on a woven project and also a scarf. This weekend begins the crazy part of "that" season when I begin to feel the rush to get things done in enough time to mail for Christmas gifts. December 12th is due day.

Our Thanksgiving was great. We spent the holiday with some good friends. I cooked cranberry compote, mashed potatoes, pumpkin bread, a cranberry dessert, and TURKEY. The turkey was amazing. Best I've ever had. I may just buy another one next week just to do it again. Truly delish.

And then I turned the turkey into turkey soup. Which Matt didn't eat because apparently he doesn't like turkey soup. Who knew? So then I turned it in to stock and turkey pot pie. Quite industrious and proud of myself.

It's THAT season!
